WADA warns Spanish sport to act or face consequences

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) said on Friday that it is aware of reports in the media reports regarding allegations that the Spanish Anti-Doping Agency (CELAD) has been involved in anti-doping testing malpractice and the possible concealment of positive cases involving Spanish athletes.

Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, the French Minister for Sport, says that the organisation of the Paris Olympic Games is on schedule. In an interview with BFMTV, she highlighted the work carried out by the various players in the fields of transport and security, and confirmed the target of around twenty gold medals for French athletes.

The president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, is not afraid of a boycott of the 2024 Olympic Games by Ukraine. However, he reiterated his call for athletes from Russia and Belarus to be allowed to take part in the Paris Games. Bach said he was satisfied with the IOC's decision.
