The International Sambo Federation (FIAS) has invited sambists to join a series of online anti-doping webinars.

The webinars are run by the International Testing Agency (ITA), which conducts FIAS’ testing programmes, and in and out-of-competition doping controls.

The webinars cover an introduction to anti-doping, the doping control process, medications, supplements, prohibited list and therapeutic use exemptions, principles and values of clean sport and out-of-competition testing.

"We strongly encourage all representatives of the SAMBO community to take advantage of a short break in the championships bracket and join each webinar to test their knowledge, learn the recent updates and receive a certificate from participation in all five sessions of webinars," FIAS said in a statement.

"All athletes and entourage members have to understand the anti-doping system and the rules that apply to each group."

The webinars are all set to be delivered in English, with simultaneous translation into Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian and Mandarin Chinese.
