It will be the biggest team ever to represent the former British colony in a major international event. 

To support the athletes competing in international competitions, Hong Kong, China National Olympic Committee (NOC) President Timothy Fok, announced a four-year partnership with Cathay Pacific Airways Limited as the exclusive official airline partner of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.

The new deal was unveiled during a flag presentation ceremony at New Town Plaza in Shatin to wish the team good luck at Jakarta and Palembang for the Games due to open on August 18 and last until September 2. 

Chief executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Carrie Lam, accompanied by Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah and Tri Tharyat, Consul-General of the Republic of Indonesia, presented the HKSAR flag to Fok.

Fok was accompanied by Hong Kong's Chef de Mission Herman Hu and NOC secretary general Ronnie Wong.

As well as the official delegtion, 18 young athletes are sponsored by Shun Hing Group as part of the "Panasonic 18 Young Athletes Asian Games Tour" will travel to the event to gain valuable experience. 

At the last Asian Games in Incheon four years ago, Hong Kong won a total of 42 medals, including six gold, to place 13th overall.

Their best performance, though, had come at Guangzhou in 2010 when they won eight gold medals. 

Medallists at Incheon 2014 included star track cyclist Lee Wai Sze, winner of the keirin and sprint.
