Organisers of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have announced a partnership with the National Association of STAPS Students (ANESTAPS) in a bid to engage the country’s student population with the event.

The partnership was formally agreed during ANESTAPS National Congress, with ANESTAPS President Loïc Rosetti and Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet representing their respective organisations.

It was announced as part of the Generation 2024 programme, and aims to extend the place of students within the organisation of Paris 2024.

The programme focuses on how sport can be used in the context of well-being, education and engagement.

The partnership aims to develop physical and sporting activity at university, facilitate access to sport for as many individuals as possible, develop a sporting, Olympic and Paralympic culture and promote the involvement of students at Paris 2024.

Formed in 1999, ANESTAPS aims to represent students material and moral interests, with Paris 2024 hoping the partnership can help them enhance the lives of students interested in working within sporting professions.
