Palestine have become the latest member of the WFDF ©WFDF

Palestine have been approved as the latest national member of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), it has been announced.

They become the 76th representative of the world governing body.

“We welcome Palestine Flying Disc Federation to the WFDF flying disc family after a long and thorough admission process conducted by the WFDF Board and members of the WFDF Sport for All / Development Commission,” said WFDF President Robert Rauch. 

“It is exciting to introduce a new member from the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region as WFDF continues to expand its international sporting activity in the Middle East. 

"PFDA’s leadership has worked diligently over the last couple years through our application procedures, and guarantees that participation in their flying disc activities are open to all athletes notwithstanding their background, ensuring that the flying disc community will benefit from their approval as WFDF member.”

The Palestine body have now been tasked with contributing to the development of the sport throughout the region.

“The PFDA is thrilled to be admitted as the newest WFDF national association member,” added the organisation's director, Daniel Bannoura. 

“Despite the various challenges we face in Palestine and in the MENA region, we are fully committed to our role as an ethical, innovative, and inclusive leader in regional development of flying disc activities. 

"In addition to our ongoing regional initiatives with a diverse set of partners, we are excited to keep building a sustainable ultimate community for women, men, and youth in Palestine that is rooted in a strong commitment to the spirit of the game.”
