Members of the International Ski Federation (FIS) are currently in Rio de Janeiro, attending a number of meetings surrounding the Olympic Games.

President Gian Franco Kasper is attending the 129th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session which has taken place in the Brazilian city this week.

The Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF), chaired by Kasper, will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss "common issues" to the seven international winter sports Federations.

This will include the serious matter of doping in Russia following the McLaren Report, which addressed a state-sponsored drugs scheme at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

The IOC has asked Winter IFs to move any planned events outside of Russia and seek alternative hosts.

The Winter IFs will also meet the leadership of Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 to discuss the next two Winter Olympic Games.

The Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne in 2020 will also be on the agenda, as well as the launch of the Olympic Channel.

Elsewhere, Sarah Lewis, the secretary general of both the FIS and AIOWF, will take the opportunity to meet with the Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Organising Committees, the IOC's Sports, Games, Legal and Medical departments, and a number of FIS partners.

Other FIS members in Rio are vice president Janez Kocijancic, an Executive Board Member of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
