The International Ski Federation (FIS) Aerials and Moguls World Cup are set to descend on South Korea’s Bokwang Phoenix Park for their Olympic test events ahead of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games.

This weekend will mark the third round of Olympic test events in South Korea after slopestyle and ski cross competitions were held at Bokwang last season.

Halfpipe is the last FIS freestyle event to take place at Bokwang, which will see World Cup competition next weekend.

The aerials competition in Bokwang will mark the start of the second half of the season.

With 282 points, Danielle Scott of Australia is the current ladies’ World Cup leader after one victory, two runner-up results and a disappointing 12th place result last weekend in Lake Placid in the United States.

Right behind Scott is double crystal globe winner Xu Mengtao of China with 240 points, while 18-year-old Russian Liubov Nikitina remains within touching distance on 189.

Qi Guangpu of China has climbed back atop the leaderboard in the men's competition with 280 points after a dominating performance last weekend in Deer Valley in the US.

Second overall with 208 points is Anton Kushnir, the reigning Olympic gold medallist.

Third overall with 189 points, meanwhile, belongs to Mac Bohonnon, the 2014/15 aerials crystal globe winner.

With five moguls competitions left in the season, World Cup leaders Britt Cox of Australia and Mikael Kingsbury of Canada arrive in Bokwang fresh off two-podium performances in Deer Valley.

Cox has been the breakout story of the season, as the 22-year-old whose previous best finish on the moguls overall was 14th has suddenly become a contender.

Cox has four victories and five total podiums in six events this season, including her first career dual moguls win last weekend in Deer Valley.

Now sitting at 505 points, the already eight-year World Cup veteran appears to be getting stronger in every contest.

Second overall belongs to reigning Olympic gold medallist Justine Dufour-Lapointe of Canada, though, at 151 points back of Cox, she will have her work cut for her in a push to add her first career crystal globe to her list of accolades.

Kingsbury comes off an incredible moguls and dual moguls sweep of the top spot on the Deer Valley podium becoming the first athlete to pull off such a feat at the legendary venue and opening up a sizeable lead upon the World Cup field.

Behind Kingsbury’s 520 points is 23 year old Ben Cavet of France who now has four podiums and 323 points this season.

The two days of World Cup competition slated for this weekend will see aerials competition on Friday and moguls on Saturday.

Friday’s aerials World Cup will begin with women's and men's qualification, followed by the finals in the evening.

Moguls, meanwhile, will see the same start time for finals on Saturday night, but with ladies’ qualifications beginning earlier in the day.

The Snowboard Cross World Cup is also set for action this weekend with a pair of back-to-back races at the Feldberg ski resort Germany.

Austria's Belle Brockhoff arrives in Feldberg as the current World Cup leader.

The 24-year-old sits atop of the ranking with 2,400 points with Olympic champion Eva Samkova of the Czech Republic right behind here on 2,250.

Over on the men's side, the current standings feature two riders level on 2,050.

But due to securing two wins over his opponent's one, Alessandro Haemmerle of Austria lies in front of Italy's Omar Visintin.

Hagen Kearney of the United States, the winner of the season's opener in Austria, is in third with 1,690 while Olympic champion Pierre Vaultier of France who placed second and first in the Feldberg races last season has already quite a deficit to catch up with 1,290.
