After the continental championships, the Judo Grand Slam returned with a tournament in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. With some teams sending their second and third numbers to Dushanbe, the host country won a record seven medals, but only one was gold. Switzerland, Austria and Italy had two gold medals, with Switzerland topping the overall standings, Austria second and Italy third. 

The 2024 Judo European Championships took place in Zagreb, Croatia on April 25-28 with 427 judoka from 47 countries competing. Azerbaijin's Hidayat Heydarov won his third consecutive title, and fourth in total, at -73kg, while Audrey Tcheumeo claimed her fifth women's -78kg European crown.

France had one silver and two bronze medals on the first two days of the 2024 Judo Grand Slam in Antalya, Turkey, but they finished the tournament on a high note... and it was predictable.

Japan, Korea, Moldova and Austria each won a gold medal on the second day of the 2024 Judo Grand Slam in Antalya, Türkiye.

Japan and Canada were the two countries to win gold medals on the first day of the Judo Grand Slam Antalya 2024. Another gold medal was won by an individual neutral athlete.

There were four Georgian athletes on the final day of the 2024 Judo Tbilisi Grand Slam, but only two represented their homeland. It was the last day of an interesting and intense event in the capital of the Caucasian country.

Olympic and World Champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili was the main hero on the second day of the 2024 Judo Grand SlamTbilisi. The Georgian legend had plenty of support from the home crowd and he didn't disappoint.

Eterli Liparteliani won the women's -57 kg at the 2024 Judo Tbilisi Grand Slam to the delight of the Georgian crowd, but it was not her only success on the first day of competition.  

Over the last three days, the eyes of the judo world were focused on the capital of Upper Austria, Linz, which hosted the second edition of the Upper Austria Grand Prix. If the 2023 edition was already a success, this year the bar was raised even higher.

The French Olympic Committee said in February that it would provide hotel rooms for breastfeeding French athletes during the Paris Olympics because children will be banned from the athletes' village, reports AFP.

At the end of the third day of the 2024 Judo Tashkent Grand Slam, France topped the medals table with three gold, two silver and one bronze, ahead of Japan (two gold, three silver, six bronze) and hosts Uzbekistan (2,1,3). 23 countries won medals and 36 nations were represented. 

Nearly 500 judoka from 68 countries gathered in Tashkent for the 3rd year of the Grand Slam tournament in Uzbekistan. Day 2 of the tournament saw another Grand Slam gold medal for Matthias Casse (Belgium), Miriam Butkereit (Germany) and Clarisse Agbegnenou (France), who had already won in Paris earlier this year.

Judo Tashkent Grand has become a must on the international calendar and this year more than ever with two major events on the horizon, the World Championships and the Olympic Games. It is time for athletes from all over the world to fine-tune their preparations.

Judoka Distria Krasniqi and Akil Gjakova have been awarded the top prizes at a prestigious ceremony in Kosovo, the eighth annual event of its kind.

Azerbaijan topped the medals table at the Judo Baku Grand Slam 2024. They won eight medals, including three golds. The final gold medal for the hosts was won by Murad Fatiyev in the men's -90kg, who defeated top seed Krisztian Toth in the final.
