Scotland continued their perfect start to the European International Cricket Council Women's Twenty20 World Cup qualifier with a comfortable victory over Ireland.

Ireland, who beat Germany demonstrably yesterday, scoring 196 runs and losing just two wickets, could not follow up their batting dominance today, posting a total of just 89 runs.

Opener Rebecca Stokell was the top scorer on 21, with Eimear Richardson and Mary Waldron the only other players to reach double figures.

Katherine Fraser took three wickets at an economy of 3.5 runs per over, leading the Scottish team's bowlers.

Kathryn Bryce, Priyanaz Chatterji and Abtaha Maqsood all took one wicket each, while Katie McGill took two.

Scotland's response did not get off to the best start as openers Sarah Bryce and Lorna Jack combined for just five runs.

However, captain Kathryn Bryce came in at number three to steer the chase, scoring 46 runs off 58 balls.

Becky Glen added a crucial 22 not out to close out the innings after Scotland fell to 43 for five and were in danger of failing to reach the 90-run target.

In the second match of the day, Germany eased to victory against France.

After France set a measly target of 46, Thea Graham the only player to score more than five with 12 runs, Germany sauntered their way through the chase, losing just one wicket as they knocked off the 46 runs.

Captain Anuradha Doddaballapur scored a steady 22 runs off 40 balls, while Christina Gough added 14.

Bianca Loch led the bowlers with three wickets.

Doddaballapur and Anna Healey took three apiece, while Gough and Milena Beresford took one wicket each.

In the final match of the day, The Netherlands comfortably knocked off the 71-run total Germany set in a difficult first innings.

Gough was the only player to show some form of resistance, scoring 34 off 47 balls, but the Dutch soon skittled the German tail and set about their chase.

Opener Babette de Leede top scored on 32 runs off 37 balls, with Juliët Post and Iris Zwilling steering the team to victory on 12 and 10 not out respectively.
