Ireland Women dominated Germany Women as Netherlands Women lost their opening match before rebounding against France Women to end day one of the 2021 International Cricket Council Women's Twenty20 World Cup Qualifier.

In a sensational batting display, Irish opener Gaby Lewis scored 105 off 60 balls, while fellow opener Rebecca Stokell scored 44 off 30 balls for an opening partnership of 98.

Captain Laura Dalny then scored 22, before Eimear Richardson rounded off the innings with six runs from six balls.

Ireland Women set an impressive total of 192 for two, leaving Germany Women with a mountain to climb.

Germany Women barely attempted in their reply, totalling 32 runs in their 20 overs. 

The Germans lost just three wickets - Anna Healey, Christina Gough and captain Anuradha Doddaballapur - as they merely defended in an attempt to save face.

In the opening match of the day, Scotland Women eased past Netherlands Women as they won by six wickets with 21 balls remaining. 

Netherlands Women set a target of 99 as Robine Rijke top scored with 43 runs off 47 balls.

Captain and opener Heather Siegers contributed 31 runs off 41 balls, but with two run-outs, Netherlands Women struggled to post a challenging total.

Scotland Women replied comfortably with Sarah Bryce and Lorna Jack putting together an opening partnership worth 69 runs. 

Bryce top scored with 46 runs, while Kathryn Bryce, Abtaha Maqsood and Katie McGill all took one wicket each.

In the final match of the day. Netherlands Women skittled France Women with ease.

France Women scored just 33, with Poppy McGeown top scoring with eight runs.

Frederique Overdijk produced a brilliant bowling display to take seven wickets, while Marloes Braat, Eva Lynch and Silver Siegers all contributed one wicket apiece.

Netherlands Women sauntered their way to the 34-run total, losing just one wicket, Siegers, who made a duck.

Rijke again top scored for the Dutch, with 21 runs from 12 balls.

The competition continues tomorrow, with Ireland Women against Scotland Women and Germany Women facing France Women and Netherlands Women.
