World Netball (WN) announced last Monday that Vicky Lowe will join the international governing body as interim CEO following the departure of Clare Briegal.

The interim CEO brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, having worked in sport, charity and corporate sectors for over 18 years, most notably as Executive Director of the Commonwealth Sport Foundation, and most recently as the Global Director of Development at Laureus Sport for Good. He is also Chair of the England Lacrosse Board and Chair of The Change Foundation UK.

"I am delighted to be joining World Netball and look forward to making a positive contribution to the development of the sport during my tenure," she commented on her appointment.

Lowe is an active sportswoman, first as a former lacrosse player at St Albans School, then as a rugby player, and now competing in triathlon, golf and running.

Lowe will work with the WN Board and the Secretariat team to initiate, develop and implement strategies and processes to help achieve sustainability and commercial success for WN and its members.
