Six golds for Russian competitors, who are competing under the International Sambo Federation flag due to the war in Ukraine, added to the six they won yesterday at the Sports and Business Center Vojvodina.

The three men's sport sambo events featured all-Russian finals.

Akhmed Gamzatov beat Aleksandr Fedorov 2-0 in the under-64 kilograms, Uali Kurzhev edged Sipan Sedrakian in a scoreless under-79kg final, and Dmitrii Torgashov did likewise against Maxim Merzliakov in the under-98kg decider.

Vera Lotkova thrashed compatriot Margarita Barneva 13-0 for women's sport sambo under-54kg gold, and there were a further two golds for Russian neutrals in men's combat sambo.

Rustam Konzoshev proved too strong in a 9-1 under-58kg victory against Arman Turumbetov of Kazakhstan, and at under-88kg Dzhambulat Medzhidov beat his Kazakhstan opponent Akhmat Boboyev 7-1.

Jelena Tasic provided a gold for hosts Serbia in a scoreless women's sport sambo under-65kg final against Russian neutral Ri Aiko, and was joined on top of the podium by her compatriot Stefan Župaric who won the men's combat sambo under-71kg final 8-0 against Kazakhstan's Vitaliy Radionov.

Croatia's Lea Katarina Gobec was the other winner in women's sport sambo, edging the under-80kg final 1-0 against Serbia's Milica Cvijic, and Kazakhstan's Talgat Zhiyentayev completed the men's combat sambo gold medallists with a 3-1 win against David Wolfman Kisishvili of Israel at over-98kg.

Novi Sad was the last scheduled World Cup before the World Sambo Championships in Armenia's capital Yerevan, due to take place from November 10 to 12.
