Early-bird registrations for the World Para Taekwondo Championships are open until July 19, with regular registration beginning the following day until September 6.

The Championships is scheduled for September 21 to 24, following on from a Grand Prix in Veracruz intended as a warm-up on September 19.

It was last held in the Turkish city of Istanbul in 2021, but this year's edition is set to mark a return for poomsae to the World Para Taekwondo Championships for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Para-taekwondo made its Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020, and is set to expand from three weight categories per gender to five at Paris 2024.
