Surenjav Ulambayar and four-time world champion Ganbatyn Bolor-Erdene ensured Mongolia finished with two golds at the Oceania Para Taekwondo Open Championships in Brisbane.

Ulambayar triumphed in the women's under-52 kilograms division at the Morayfield Sport and Events Centre, beating Shao Qian of China 16-5 in the final.

Mexico's Jessica Garcia Quijano and Japan's Emiko Otsu earned bronzes.

Bolor-Erdene ensured Mongolia were the only nation to finish with more than one gold from the event as he beat Chen Chien-chiang of Chinese Taipei 32-12 in the final, with Kazakhstan's Baurzhan Kusherbayev and Saudi Arabia's Eyad Abdullah A Al Turayk taking bronze.

Aruna of India triumphed 16-12 in the women's under-47kg final against the only other competitor in the division Teresinha de Jesus Correia dos Santos of Brazil, a feat matched by Paralympic champion Lisa Gjessing of Denmark 6-1 against the Solomon Islands' Junita Tonowane in the women's under-65kg.

Spain's Dalia Santiago Moreno won the women's over-65kg final 16-0 against India's Veena Arora.

Xiao Xiang-wen of Chinese Taipei took gold in the men's under-58kg with a 17-3 victory against Spain's Joel Martin Villalobos, with beaten semi-finalists Iván Torres Pérez of Mexico and Ryohei Harada of Japan earning bronze.

Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Juan Diego Garcia Lopez won the men's under-70kg final 16-3 against China's Chen Shihe, with bronzes going to Mongolia's Shinebayar Batbayar and Paralympic bronze medallist Juan Samorano of Argentina.

Claro Lopes de Oliveira of Brazil triumphed in the men's under-80kg 17-11 against Mexico's Luis Mario Najera, and was joined on the podium by his compatriot Joel Gomes Da Silva and Aruba's Elliott Andre Loonstra.

Kazakhstan's Alisher Garipollayev was the final winner in the men's over-80kg 28-5 against Japan's Chikara Ito, with James Ingram Gegeu of the Solomon Islands completing the podium.

Competition is also due to be held in Brisbane tomorrow as part of the World Taekwondo President's Cup Oceania.
