Cochabamba in Bolivia is due to host the inaugural Pan American Cadets, Youth and Junior Sambo Championships later this year.

Dates of May 4 to 6 have been allocated for the Championships at the La Tamborrada Coliseum Arena, with competition due to be held in the sport sambo, combat sambo and beach sambo disciplines.

Cadet events are for under-16 athletes, youth events for under-18s and juniors for under-20s.

There are set to be nine weight categories for cadets, eight for youth and seven for juniors in sport and combat sambo, while beach sambo competition is due to be held across four weight categories in the junior bracket.

Each National Federation is only able to enroll one athlete per weight category.

La Tamborrada Coliseum was built for when Cochabamba staged the South American Games in 2018.

A referee seminar has been planned by the Pan American Sambo Union prior to the start of the Championships, and a training camp is set to be offered to athletes after its conclusion.

The Pan American Sambo Championships are set to be held in the Dominican Republic's capital Santo Domingo on September 6 and 7, followed by the World Beach Sambo Championships in the same country on September 9 and 10.
