With three gold medals and one silver, Italy won the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games in Marseille while Valencia in Spain is set to host the next edition of the event.

Valencia hosting the 2024 Motorsport Games is subject to FIA World Motor Sport Council approval.

The event is scheduled to be held in late October 2024, on a non-clashing weekend with Formula 1.

Racing could be centred around Circuit Ricardo Tormo in downtown Valencia, and other nearby venues.

A total of 463 athletes took part in the second edition of the Games at the Circuit Paul Ricard.

The next best team in Marseille was hosts France with three gold medals while Belgium bagged the third spot on the overall medals table with two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Italy won gold in Rally4, Historic Rally and KCMG Formula 4 before a silver in the GT Sprint.

They were also awarded the AllStar Trophy for achieving the best medal score across the event's 10 senior disciplines.

Germany, who finished fourth with two golds and one silver medal, bagged the NewStar Trophy for scoring the best results in Karting Endurance, Karting Sprint Junior, Karting Slalom, Auto Slalom, Cross Car Junior and Fanatec Esports.

For Italy, Andrea Kimi Antonelli ensured his country remained undefeated in KCMG Formula 4, by winning one of the three golds.

Meanwhile, Andreas Cardenas ensured a historic medal for Peru on their debut, as he won the inaugural gold medal in Karting Sprint Junior.
