Rudy Gobert saved France from a shock defeat against Turkey in the round of 16 of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) EuroBasket 2022 at the EuroBasket Arena Berlin.

The Olympic silver medallists were on the brink of elimination, but Gobert slammed a putback to force overtime.

France were able to get the job done in the extra period, winning 87-86, even though their opponents had the chance to steal a win on the final possession.

Gobert led from the front with 20 points and 17 rebounds to ensure his nation did not suffer back-to-back round of 16 defeats at the competition.
