Daniel Molina, Lionel Morales, Andrea Miguelez Ranz and Susana Rodriguez all secured victories in a hugely successful day for their nation in A Coruña. 

World ranked number one Molina resoundingly bested France's Michael Herter in his swim, bike ride and run in the men's S3 to earn a 26th career victory in a time of 1hour 12mins 24secs. 

In the process, he won the World Cup event in the city for the second year in a row with an almost identical time, just four seconds slower than his 2021 effort.

The men's S2 saw Spain's Lionel Morales go one better than last year and also take gold, with a hugely impressive swimming leg setting him on his way to 1:14:51 overall race time.

His closest challenger was Geoffrey Wersy of France, who came second two a half minutes behind Morales.

The 19-year-old Ranz overcame her Spanish compatriot Carmen Gonzalez Sanchez to win the women's S4 race in 1:31:13 and maintain her 100 per cent record in professional Para triathlon events, a run that stretches back to June 2021. 

Rodriguez continued her own rich vein of form with victory in the women's visually impaired event, with the Tokyo 2020 gold medallist surging to a comprehensive 1:09:38 race time with a near 10-minute gap to Ireland's Chloe Maccombe. 

Italy's Giovanni Achenza, a bronze medallist at Rio 2016, won the men's wheelchair event, beating off competition from the United States' Zachary Stinson. 

Antonio Franko of Croatia added to his World Cup bronze in Besançon with gold in the S4 race after posting a time of 1:06:10. 

Canada's Stefan Daniel came out on top in the men's S5 and built on his second place finish in Besançon, with a blistering running leg giving him a final time of 1:00:37.

Another athlete who secured consecutive World Cup wins was Dave Ellis of Britain in the men's visually impaired race, as did Grace Norman of the US in the women's S5 event.

The next major meeting on the Para triathlon calendar is the World Triathlon Para Series in Montreal, due to take place on July 8.
