Georgia's Nino Batsiashvili and Gunay Mammadzuda of Azerbaijan remain undefeated following wins on the third day of the European Individual Women's Chess Championship in Iasi in Romania.

Top seed Batsiashvili won against Azerbaijan's 24th seed Gulnar Mammadova to go on to a record of 3-0, while Mammadzuda went on to three wins with a victory over Greek 21st seed Stavroula Tsolakidou.

Irina Bulmaga, the 12th seed from Romania, also remains undefeated following a win against Italian 33rd seed Olga Zimina.

In total, five players have won all three of their opening games.

Armenian 15th seed Elina Danielian is one of them after beating Azerbaijan's 37th seed Khanim Balajayeva, and the other was Polish 19th seed Jolanta Zawadzka, who won against Serbian 30th seed Teodora Injac.

Russian eighth seed Olga Girya drew with Armenian 23rd seed Anna M. Sargsyan as both players moved on to 2.5 points, as did Ukrainian 10th seed Iulija Osmak and Bulgaria's 29th seed Viktoria Radeva.

German 41st seed Josefine Heinemann and Slovenian 16th seed Laura Unuk drew in their match too, moving on to 2.5.

Georgian second seed Bela Khotenashvili is on the same total following her win over 34th seed Daria Charochkina of Russia.

Her third seeded compatriot Lela Javakhishvili defeated 38th seeded Azeri Turkan Mamedjarova to move on to a record of two wins and a draw.
