The International University Sports Federation (FISU) has made access to its video archive public, displaying the best of university sports to member associations, broadcasters and fans.

It has launched #UniSportsClassics with full competition replays of medal events from the Summer and Winter Universiades and FISU World University Championship events.

FISU will have videos from classic matches every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 17:00 GMT on the FISU.TV player and the YouTube and Facebook social media channels.

It will also be available for Chinese-speaking audiences on content channel Weibo.

Oleg Matytsin, FISU President, said he is proud to bring the platform to the public.

"We all want to watch world-class sport, and I am happy that we are working with broadcasters and our own OTT player and social sites to give fans the very best that university sport can offer," said Matytsin.

"Student-athletes love competing at our events, and that comes through with the incredible performances we see from them on the field of play.

"This makes for content that makes you stop what you're doing to watch and follow along with the action."

Already published yesterday on the channel is the gold medal men's basketball match from the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei in Taiwan between Lithuania and the United States.

Tomorrow, it will show the 2019 Summer Universiade gold medal women's basketball match in Naples in Italy between the United States and Australia.

Two water polo gold medal matches from 2019 and 2013 Universiades between Italy and the United States and Hungary and Russia respectively, will air over the weekend.
