Australia made it two wins out two at the Rugby League World Cup after comfortably overcoming France in front of a home crowd at the Canberra Stadium today.

Wade Graham scored four tries as the holders triumphed 52-6 in their second Group A outing.

Graham, making his starting debut for Australia, joined a select group of players to have scored four tries in a World Cup match.

He joins England’s Keith Fielding, New Zealand’s Manu Vatuvei and four fellow Australians in Wendell Sailor, Mat Rogers, Jarryd Hayne and Brett Morris.

Cameron Munster crossed over twice today, while Josh Dugan, Tyson Frizell, Billy Slater and Valentine Holmes also scored in a 10-try rout.

Full-back Slater's 13th World Cup try in the second-half etched his name into the record books, putting him level with Australians Bob Fulton and Jarryd Hayne for the most tries in the history of the tournament.

France's try came courtesy of full-back Mark Kheirallah after he run in from 90 metres in the first-half.

Australia, who had already beaten England, next  are due to play Lebanon in Sydney on November 11.

France lost to Lebanon last week and are due to conclude their Group A campaign against England in Perth on November 12.

The World Cup is due to continue tomorrow with England going up against Lebanon at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Group B action pits New Zealand against Scotland at the Christchurch Stadium and Samoa against Tonga at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.
