The National Olympic Committee of Albania (KOKSH) held cooperation talks with the Bulgarian National Sports Academy (NSA) at its offices in Tirana.

The delegation from the Bulgarian NSA, which is a specialised higher-education institution in the Bulgarian university system, included director Lozan Mitev.

He was joined by Eleonora Mileva and Ivan Sandanski, members and professors of the organisation.

Discussions centered around the exchange of good practices for promoting the Olympics and learning from the experiences of those individuals within the Bulgarian NSA who work in that area.

The delegation also held meetings at the Sports University of Tirana and the Faculty of Physical Education of Aleksander Xhuvani University.

Mitev emphasised the need to extend cooperation within the Balkan region and the contribution of the specific values that characterise its countries.

The Bulgarian NSA was founded in 1942 and is linked to Vasil Levski, a Bulgarian revolutionary and a national hero of the country.

It is the only university fully specialised in sports science in Bulgaria and one of the few sports universities in Europe.
