Kipchoge finishes 10th as Kipruto wins Tokyo Marathon

"Not every day is Christmas," said Kenya's double Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge after suffering a setback in his preparations for the Paris Games when he finished 10th behind winner Benson Kipruto in Sunday's Tokyo Marathon. Kebede won the women's race, followed by Rosemary Wanjiru and Amane Beriso Shankule. Sifan Hassan was fourth.

Grant Holloway breaks his own 60m hurdles world record

The undisputed king of the high hurdles, Grant Holloway, set a new world record in the 60 metres at the US Indoor Championships in New Mexico on Friday. Holloway, the three-time 110m hurdles world champion and Olympic silver medallist, clocked 7.27 in Albuquerque, USA, two hundredths faster than the previous mark.
