Greece was represented by three athletes in three sports at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer - Alpine skier Anastasia Mantsiou, biathlete Nikolaos Mavridis and cross-country skier Nikolaos Tsourekas.

The country did not win any medals.

There were also no podium finishes for the nation at Innsbruck 2012, where it was represented by three athletes in two sports - Alpine skiers Massimiliano Valcareggi and Anastasia Gkogkou, and cross-country skier Dimitrios Kyriazis.

Great Britain

Great Britain ranked 14th in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning two gold and two bronze.

Freestyle skier Madison Rowlands was a double medallist with gold in women's halfpipe and bronze in slopestyle.

Ashleigh Pittaway was Britain's other gold medallist after winning the women's skeleton event, while bobsledder Kelsea Purchall clinched bronze in the women's monobob. 

In all, Britain had 16 competitors in seven sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, the country won one silver medal through Mica McNeill and Jazmin Sawyers in the two-woman bobsleigh event.

Sawyers has always predominantly been a track and field athlete and won long jump silver medals at both the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2016 European Championships. 

Overall, Britain was represented by 24 athletes in 10 sports at Innsbruck 2012.


Germany

Germany

Germany ranked fourth in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning seven gold, seven silver and eight bronze.

Two of the country's victories came in bobsleigh with Jonas Jannusch winning the men's monobob event and Laura Nolte coming out on top in the women's equivalent.

Other German successes came courtesy of biathlete Juliane Fruehwirt in the women's sprint, Nordic combined skier Tim Kopp in the men's normal hill/5km, the mixed relay luge team, the snowboard ski cross team and the Alpine skiing parallel mixed team of Lucia Rispler and Jonas Stockinger.

Short track speed skater Anna Seidel was the women's 1,000m bronze medallist and has since gone onto secure a third-place finish in the 1,500m at her home European Championships in Dresden in 2018. 

In all, Germany had 44 competitors in 14 sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, Germany topped the medal table with eight gold, seven silver and two bronze.

Biathlete Franziska Preuß was the stand-out performer after winning gold medals in the women's sprint, mixed relay and cross-country skiing relay as well as silver in the women's pursuit.

Preuß is now the holder of four World Championship medals, including 4x6km relay gold from 2015. 

There were also German victories at Innsbruck 2012 for Sebastian Berneker in the men's skeleton, Jacqueline Loelling in the women's skeleton, Christian Paffe in men's luge and the trio of Katharina Althaus, Tom Lubitz and Andreas Wellinger in the ski jumping mixed team event.

Loelling has gone onto become a world and European champion, in 2017, and Olympic silver medallist at Pyeongchang 2018.

Althaus and Wellinger have also had success at the highest level.

The former is a triple world gold medallist and the women's normal hill individual Olympic silver medallist, while the latter is a four-time Olympic medallist, including gold in the men's large hill team at Sochi 2014 and the men's normal hill individual at Pyeongchang 2018, and world gold medallist in the mixed team normal hill event. 

Overall, Germany was represented by 57 athletes in 15 sports at Innsbruck 2012.


Georgia

Georgia

Georgia was represented by two athletes in two sports at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer - Alpine skier Besarion Japaridze and luger Lasha Peradze.

The country did not win any medals.

There were also no podium finishes for the nation at Innsbruck 2012, where it was represented by two athletes in one sport - Alpine skiers Nikoloz Kozanashvili and Susana Gavva.


France

France

France ranked 13th in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning two gold, one silver and three bronze.

The athletes securing top honours were biathlete Emilien Claude in the men's sprint and Manon Petit Lenoir in women's snowboard cross.

In all, France had 32 competitors in 12 sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, the country finished 11th in the medal table with two gold, two silver and five bronze. 

Alpine skiers Estelle Alphand, who now represents Sweden, and Clara Direz were the gold medallists following victories in the women's super-G and giant slalom respectively. 

Both were also bronze medallists in the parallel mixed team event, while Alphand claimed silver in the combined and giant slalom competitions.

Overall, France was represented by 29 athletes in 10 sports.


Finland

Finland

Finland ranked 21st in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning one silver and five bronze.

The country's solitary silver medallist was snowboarder Elli Pikkujamsa in women's slopestyle

Compatriot Henna Ikola finished third in the same event, while Rene Rinnekangas completed the top three in the men's equivalent. 

There were also bronze medals for cross-country skiers Lauri Mannila and Rebecca Immonen in the men's sprint and women's 5km competitions respectively, as well as for Alpine skiers Riikka Honkanen and Sampo Kankkunen in the parallel mixed team event. 

Rinnekangas has since gone on to win slopestyle silver at the 2019 Winter X Games in Aspen in the United States.

In all, Finland had 42 competitors in 10 sports.

These figures also applied to Innsbruck 2012, where the nation finished joint 13th in the medal table with Sweden having racked up two gold and two silver.

The gold medallists were freestyle skier Niki Lehikoinen, in men's ski cross, and the men's ice hockey team. 


Estonia

Estonia was represented by 17 athletes in eight sports at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer.

The country did not win any medals.

At Innsbruck 2012, Estonia won two silver medals through biathlete Rene Zahkna in the men's sprint and men's pursuit.

The nation was represented by 17 athletes in seven sports.

Alexi Goutt was set to make East Timor's Winter YOG debut at Lillehammer 2016 after qualifying in Alpine skiing.

But despite appearing at the Opening Ceremony, he did not compete in any event.

Denmark was represented by four athletes in three sports at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer.

The country did not win any medals.

There were also no podium finishes for the nation at Innsbruck 2012, where it was represented by five athletes in three sports.

Czech Republic ranked 20th in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning two silver and two bronze. 

The silver medals went the way of Anna Duskova and Martin Bidar in the pairs figure skating event and the women's ice hockey team.

Rounding out their respective podiums were freestyle skier Klara Kasparova in the women's ski cross and Nordic combined skier Ondrej Pazout in the men's normal hill/5 kilometres competition.

In all, Czech Republic had 43 competitors in 12 sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, the country finished 18th in the medal table with one gold and one silver.

Tomas Portyk was the gold medallist courtesy of his win in the Nordic combined individual event, while freestyle skier Veronika Camkova was the silver medallist after taking second place in the women's ski cross. 

Czech Republic was represented by 24 athletes in 11 sports.


Cyprus

Cyprus was represented by just one athlete at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer - Alpine skier Andriani Pieri.

The country did not win any medals.

There were also no podium finishes for the nation at Innsbruck 2012, where it was also represented by one athlete - Alpine skier Dinos Lefkaritis.

Croatia was represented by seven athletes in five sports at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer.

The country did not win any medals.

Colombia was represented by just one athlete at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer - Alpine skier Michael Poettoz.

The country, which was making its Winter YOG debut having not had any athletes at Innsbruck 2012, did not win any medals.


Chinese Taipei

Chinese Taipei was represented by four athletes in four sports at the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer.

The country did not win any medals.

There were also no podium finishes for the nation at Innsbruck 2012, where it was represented by four athletes in three sports.

China

China ranked seventh in the medal table for the 2016 Winter YOG in Lillehammer, winning three gold, five silver and two bronze.

The trio of gold medallists were Li Yanzhe in men's 500m speed skating, Zang Yize in women's 500m short track speed skating and Meng Fanqi and Zhu Zhenyu in the single mixed relay biathlon event.

In all, China had 23 athletes in seven sports.

At Innsbruck 2012, the country finished second in the medal table with seven gold, four silver and four bronze.

Four of the gold medals came in speed skating with Fan Yang winning the men's 1,500m, 3,000m and mass start events, and Liu An prevailing in the men's 500m competition.

Two of the other three went the way of figure skaters - Yan Han in the men's singles and Yu Xiaoyu and Jin Yang in the pairs - while biathlete Cheng Fangming triumphed in the men's sprint. 

China was represented by 23 athletes in eight sports.
