Bellevue to host 2023-24 PSA World Tour Finals in June. PSA

The final event of the season returns to the United States and will take place between 18 and 22 June. So far two players have qualified in both the men's and women's categories, Egyptians Ali Farag, Nour El Sherbini and Hania El Hammamy and New Zealander Paul Coll, with five tournaments remaining before the Finals. The winners will qualify automatically.

The PSA World Tour Finals will return to the United States for the first time in a decade. Bellevue, Washington will host the season-ending event at the Boys and Girls Club Hidden Valley Field House from 18-22 June 2024. Only two spots have been decided in the men's and women's draws for the PSA World Tour Finals. Egypt's Ali Farag, Nour El Sherbiniand Hania El Hammamy and New Zealand's Paul Coll, who won the Platinum title earlier this season.

There are five tournaments - the El Gouna International Squash Open, the PSA World Championships and the British Open - to go before the PSA World Tour Finals. Their winners will qualify automatically. Points will also be awarded at the Manchester Open and the QSF 3, so there will be plenty of points at stake to qualify.

The PSA World Tour Finals feature eight players in each category. The final always brings together the Platinum title winners and the reigning PSA World Champions. The remaining places are awarded to the highest ranked players on the PSA World Tour Finals Leaderboard. Points are awarded at all PSA World Tour events throughout the season. The format will allow all players to compete in an initial group stage with the top two progressing to a semi-final.

The final will be played in the traditional best of five format that is used at the majority of the regular events on the PSA World Tour. This will be the first time that Bellevue has hosted the final, but its status as a venue will see the United States repeat this decade, as Richmond, Virginia was the venue in 2014.

Bellevue also hosted the 2015 PSA Men's World Championships, the first time the United States has hosted a world championship. "We are thrilled to bring the PSA World Tour Finals back to the United States for the first time in 10 years. I'm sure the event will provide a fitting spectacle to cap off an exciting season on the PSA World Tour," said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.

"Squash in the United States has grown tremendously over the past decade. The PSA World Championships have now been held in the United States four times in the last decade. The sport will make its long-awaited debut at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

"The PSA World Tour Finals is the latest professional squash tournament to bring the sport's greatest athletes to the United States and we're looking forward to seeing how the battles for the titles unfold. I'd like to thank Shabana Khan and YSK Events for their support and we'll be working closely with their team over the coming weeks to organise an exciting end-of-season tournament", added Gough.

YSK would like to pay tribute to Dave Cutler and Rob Harris, whose unwavering support dates back to before the 2015 World Championships."

"Their dedication has been instrumental in shaping the success of YSK Events and driving the sport of squash forward. "The event promises to be a spectacular showcase for squash in Bellevue, with the Boys and Girls Club Hidden Valley Field House hosting the action and the world-class facilities of the nearby Pro Club available to all athletes. By bringing together elite athletes and passionate enthusiasts, YSK Events is poised to make squash history", said Shabana Khan.
