In the women's three metres springboard, Shi Tingmao controlled her nerves to perform at her best, despite the fierce opposition of her team-mate Wang Han.

In the end, Shi claimed gold with 388.05 points at the Shizuoka Prefectural Fuji Swimming Pool while Wang collected 359.30 points to earn silver.

"I don't want to compete against other athletes and be compared with them," she said.

"I just want to do my best, show my best and keep my good shape until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games."

Kristina Ilinykh of Russia won bronze on 326.15.

In the men's 10m platform, the last individual event in Fuji, China's Yang Jian made a bid for victory in the third round when he received 102.60 points for his 5156B combination.

However, team-mate Lian Junjie took back the top position in the fourth round and concluded with an accumulated score of 535.15 points to earn gold.

Yang finished on 542.10 with Benjamin Auffret of France doing enough for bronze on 495.70.

In the last event of this second leg of the season, the mixed 3m synchro springboard, the Chinese 2017 World Championship gold medal winning pair of Wang Han and Li Zheng were unbeatable as they won with 328.50 points.

Great Britain's Rio 2016 bronze medallist Tom Daley, having withdrawn from the 10m platform event to concentrate on the mixed springboard, finished second with Grace Reid on an overall score of 299.25 points, while Russia's Nadezhda Bazhina and Nikita Shleikher got the bronze on 299.10.

The next leg of the tour will be in Canadian city Montreal between April 24 and 27.
