Pagnoni then missed out on a podium place as Denmark's Mathias Fullerton beat him in a shoot-out following a draw on 149 points each.

In the women's compound final, Natale got the better of her countrywoman Marcella Tonioli in another shoot-out.

Both archers scored 143 points in regulation before hitting a nine each in the deciding round, but Natale's was closer to the centre which gave her the win.
