The number for the event between November 19 and December 2 includes 102 non-travelling reserves.

Athletes will travel to the Games in two waves, with the first due to leave on November 14 and the second group scheduled to depart on November 25.

"Today is a very important day for Team Fiji because this is a culmination of all the hard work that has taken place behind the scenes from well over 18 months ago," said Chef de Mission Ajay Ballu.

"It started with an interest from the National Federations to participate in the Games and under strict timelines, final team names were submitted and underwent a selection justification process before the final names were submitted to the Executive Board and the Board of Management for approval and endorsement.

"In terms of the Games venues, we have been having regular updates with the Pacific Games Organising Committee as well as our Fijian community based on the Solomon Islands and we are pleased with the venues and looking forward to seeing everyone on November 14."

Fiji's men are the back-to-back Olympic rugby sevens champions but they will take a youthful team to the Pacific Games.

Only three players have represented the country at World Rugby Sevens Series level - Suliano Volivoli, Rokoua Rasaku and Alusio Vakadranu.

The other sports Fiji will compete in are archery, athletics, basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, football, golf, hockey, karate, netball, powerlifting, rugby league nines, sailing, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, touch rugby, triathlon, va'a, volleyball and weightlifting. 

Fiji won 35 gold medals at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa, finishing fifth on the medal table.
