Jesus Ferreira starred with a hat-tick as the United States posted a commanding 6-0 win over Saint Kitts and Nevis at the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Gold Cup in Saint Louis.

Đorđe Mihailović played his part with a brace as the defending champions sit top of Group A with two wins from two.

It took only 12 minutes for the US to break the deadlock when Mihailović found himself at the receiving end of cross from Gianluca Busio.

Defender Bryan Reynolds scored a sensational goal off the post two minutes later when a corner kick bounced to him.

Ferreira got his first in the 16th minute as he calmly slotted one from a Alejandro Zendejas pass before doubling his tally in the 25th minute.

Ferreira and Mihailović combined as the fifth goal came in the 50th minute – a quick right-footed finish past Julani Archibald.

The sixth and final goal happened with 10 minutes remaining as Mihailović was the first to react to a Christian Roldan assist from the right wing.

In the other match, Everton Football Club forward Demarai Gray bagged two goals as Jamaica beat Trinidad and Tobago 4-1.

West Ham United frontman Michail Antonio and Aston Villa's Leon Bailey combined to find Gray for Jamaica's opener.

Bailey got Jamaica's second goal when he fired a sensational left-footed strike past Nicklas Frenderup.

Clever play from Kevon Lambert found Antonio who cut back for Gray to score his second just before the break.

Some changes to the line-up in the second half swung the momentum in favour of Trinidad and Tobago as a low cross from Levi Garcia found Andre Rampersad, who made no mistake.

Teenage Dujuan Richards restored the three-goal lead for  Jamaica in the dying moments when a bit of deflection helped the youngster to beat Frenderup.
