It means a partnership that was in place for the 2022 World Games in Birmingham in Alabama will remain in force for the next edition in Chengdu in China in 2025.

Quantum will evaluate the Games in Chengdu in several areas, including the economic, social and environmental impacts.

The IWGA said that following Birmingham it had gained "invaluable insights" into how effective its initiatives are and a better understanding of satisfaction levels among stakeholders.

"For us as organisers of the World Games, it is crucial to develop our event strategically," said Guillaume Felli, the deputy chief executive of the IWGA.

"The precondition for a meaningful analysis is a suitable data management plan. 

"Furthermore, it is important to interpret this data in such a way that we can determine our tasks for the upcoming event. 

"The cooperation with Quantum in the evaluation of the the World Games 2022 in Birmingham, USA provided us with exactly what we needed - independently assessed data that we can work with and recommendations for action on how to approach our goals for the next edition of the Games. 

"It was therefore an easy decision for us to continue the cooperation with Quantum for the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, People's Republic of China."

Colin Stewart, the director of consulting at Quantum Consultancy, added: "We are thrilled to extend our partnership with the International World Games Association."
