The United States, Canada and Ukraine are among the latest teams to enter the Athletes' Village in upstate New York.

A total of 150 student athletes are set to represent the US, that will be aiming to make home advantage count at the Games.

Canada has arrived with a 121-strong team, while 58 athletes from Ukraine have also entered Lake Placid's Olympic Center to begin the accreditation process.

The arrival of the US, Canada and Ukraine comes just 24 hours after the South Korean team featuring 85 athletes landed in Lake Placid.

They are among 1,443 athletes, aged between 17 and 25, from 46 countries and more than 540 universities that are expected to compete at the Games that are scheduled to run from Thursday (January 12) to January 22.

Alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, freestyle and free ski, figure skating, ice hockey, Nordic combined, short-track speed skating, snowboarding, ski jumping, and speed skating compettions are set to take place at venues spread throughout the North Country, including Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Wilmington, North Creek, Canton and Potsdam.

Lake Placid 2023 organisers have also confirmed that tickets for the Opening Ceremony, due to be held on Thursday at the Olympic Center, are still available.

The Games are expected to officially open with the lighting of the Cauldron that will house the symbolic flame in the historic Brewster Park.
