Hosts Egypt and Brazil have qualified for the final of the inaugural International Handball Federation (IHF) Four-a-Side Wheelchair Handball World Championship.

The second day of competition at the Dr Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall saw Brazil win both their games, with one of them coming against the hosts.  

In the first match, the South Americans crushed India 2-0.

After taking the first set 5-4, Brazil humiliated the Asian team 12-0 in the second, with Jordean Rodrigues and Anderson Ferreira stealing the show.

The first set against Egypt also finished 5-4 in Brazil’s favour before another dominating 10-3 win in the second.

However, Egypt bounced back in their second game of the day.

Up against another South American team in Chile, Mohamed Mohamed Hassabelnabi Ahmed starred as the registered an 8-5, 5-2 victory.

Chile also bounced back with a 2-0 win over Slovenia.

They took the first set 9-4 before adding a narrow 6-5 triumph to seal the deal.

It was a day to forget for the Netherlands, who lost both their games.

Slovenia beat them 2-1 before India registered a 2-0 victory in the second match.
