The International Federation of Teqball's (FITEQ) Committees have held internal meetings to discuss working schedules and timeline planning.

Fifteen new Committees were established by FITEQ earlier this year in a bid to strengthen its governance, each consisting of between three and five members and advising the Executive Board on key aspects within the sport.

Several International Olympic Committee members were appointed to the Committees, including Ethiopia’s Dagmawit Berhane to the Finance Committee, where he is joined by former IOC marketing director Michael Payne, and Burundi National Olympic Committee President Lydia Nsekera to the Sport Development Committee.

Those two Committees were among those that held internal meetings, along with the Legal Affairs Committee, Technical and Coaching Committee, Scientific and Research Committee, Women's Committee, Para Sport Committee, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sport and Active Society Committee, Governance Committee, Athlete Status and Transfer Committee, Athlete Entourage Committee and Sustainability Committee.

The Ethics and Disciplinary, and Medical and Anti-Doping Committees, both of which serve in a judicial capacity, and the Athletes' Committee, billed by FITEQ as an independent body to represent athletes' views, also held meetings.

Each Committee is preparing to appoint a new chair.

Their current membership consists of 29 male and 30 female officials, which FITEQ says is in line with its goal of achieving gender equality.

FITEQ holds ambitions for teqball, which it claims is the world's fastest growing sport, to feature at the Summer Olympics.

However, it did not make a shortlist of nine sports invited to present their cases for inclusion in addition to those already on the programme for Los Angeles 2028.
