On her second run, the American scored 86.32 to take the gold medal away from New Zealand's Zoi Sadowski Synott, who was leading after the first run on 82.50.

Synott had to settle for silver, beating Japan's Kokomo Murase, who completed the podium in third.

Murase was the winner of the opening leg last week in Calgary.

Britain's Katie Ormerod was fourth, followed by the US' Hailey Langland and Dutch boarder Melissa Peperkamp.

Norway's Hanne Eilertsen, Americans Jade Thurgood and Courtney Rummel and Loranne Smans of Belgium completed the top 10 in the final.

Redmond Gerard was victorious in the men's equivalent, giving the home nation a win in both events.

He scored 82.88 for gold, followed by run-one leader The Netherlands' Niek Velden van Der, who finished on 76.56.

Tiarn Collins of New Zealand won the bronze medal with 73.44.

Canadians Darcy Sharpe and Sebastien Toutant completed the top five.

The halfpipe World Cups were both won by competitors from Japan, with two-time Olympic silver medallist Ayumu Hirano clinching the men's event and Ruki Tomita triumphing in the women's.

Hirano scored 95.80 on his second run to earn a first victory of the season, with compatriot Ruka Hirano - who triumphed at Copper Mountain last month - second with 93.40.

Germany's André Höflich took third with 90.00.

In the women's competition, Tomita scored 89.40, with the winner of the last halfpipe World Cup Cai Xuetong of China notching 86.80 to finish second.

Sena Tomita of Japan was third with 84.60.
