United States’ Elana Meyers Taylor secured her second win of the Women's Monobob World Series in Innsbruck.

Meyers Taylor triumphed at the Austrian track earlier this month.

The American achieved an opening run time of 55.51 seconds at the venue today, earning her a 0.16 cushion over Australia’s Breeana Walker in second.

Meyers Taylor’s second run of 56.09 was the fifth fastest, with Germany’s Laura Nolte leading the way in 55.85.

The two bobsleigh pilots were narrowly separated in the overall standings, with Meyers Taylor clinching victory in 1min 51.60sec.

Nolte, the Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic monobob champion, finished 0.05 behind as the runner-up.

The podium places were completed by Walker, who placed third in a time of 1:51.79.

A total of 10 races have been held in the Women's Monobob World Series, with these split evenly between Europe and North America.

Women's monobob is set to make its Winter Olympic debut at Beijing 2022.

Germany’s Francesco Friedrich secured his second two-man win of the season, this time alongside Thorsten Margis.

Friedrich and Margis achieved the fastest times in both runs of the competition, clocking 51.57 and 51.91.

The German pairing topped the standings with a total time of 1:43.48.

Johannes Lochner and Christian Rasp finished as the runners-up, ending 0.36 seconds behind their compatriots.

Canada’s Justin Kripps and Cameron Stones secured their first podium finish of the season, at 0.48 down.
