Maxim Burov will be aiming for his fifth successive win at tomorrow's International Ski Federation (FIS) Aerials World Cup event in the Belarusian capital of Minsk.

The Russian has triumphed at all four of the men's World Cup contests this season and tops the standings with 400 points.

His compatriot Pavel Krotov is expected to be another main contender, having finished second in the opening two World Cup events.

World Cup defending champion Noé Roth has also been a regular on the podium this season.

Krotov and Switzerland's Roth are second and third in the standings with 232 and 168 respectively.

The women's competition is more open, with Megan Nick and Winter Vinecki, both of the United States, clinching one victory each after Laura Peel began her World Cup defence with two consecutive wins.

Australia's Peel still leads the standings on 290 points, but Vinecki is close behind her on 203.

Ashley Caldwell of the US, who finished second in Yaroslavl earlier this month, is third on 190.

Both the men and women's competitions are scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Minsk has remained host of the event, even after both the International Ice Hockey Federation and International Modern Pentathlon Union recently stripped the nation of competitions due to safety and security concerns.
