All the teams who topped yesterday's first qualifying event at the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Acrobatic World Cup in Puurs maintained their leads in today's second qualification round. 

Portugal's Rita Ferreira and Ana Teixeira stayed ahead in the women's pairs at Sportcomplex De Vrijhals in Puurs. 

They had scored 27.700 in yesterday's event, today achieving 28.670 points to reach 56.370.

The pair are seeking their third successive Acrobatic World Cup victory this season and go into tomorrow's final as the top qualifiers.

Russia continued their dominance in the men's and mixed pairs events.

Timofei Ivanov and Maksim Karavaev scored 27.940 to bring their total to 57.020 in the men's pairs, while Victoria Aksenova and Kirill Startsev recorded a total of 59.260 in the mixed pairs after securing 30.370 points.

Belgium's Talia de Troyer, Britt Vanderdonckt and Charlotte Van Royen consolidated their lead in the women's group event, scoring 27.980 to achieve a total of 57.710.

China's Fu Zhi, Guo Pei, Jiang Heng and Zhang Junshuo finished as top qualifiers in the men's group with 59.390, scoring 29.940 points today.

The finals will take place tomorrow, concluding the action in Puurs.
