The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) has released the schedule for the Women’s Under-25 World Championship in Thailand.

The competition, which will take place from May 23 to 28, will begin with a Pool A match between the hosts and South Africa in Suphan Buri.

That will come shortly after the Opening Ceremony, on a first day which will also feature Japan's clash with Great Britain in Pool A, Germany against Australia and Turkey against the United States in Pool B.

Pool action will last three days, after which the knockout rounds will begin with the quarter-finals.

The final, third-place play-off and matches to establish fifth to eighth place will bring the Championships to an end on day six.

The last Championships, held in China in 2015, was won by Great Britain after they beat Australia in the final.

China gained the bronze in a tournament that only featured six teams.

Despite reaching the podium four years ago, the Chinese will not feature in this year’s event.
