A "Mr Paraguay" bodybuilding competition held in Asunción has been hailed as good preparation for the city hosting the South American Championship at the end of this month.
The event took place at the Hotel Guarani in the South American nation's capital and was organised by the Paraguay Bodybuilding, Fitness and Powerlifting Association.
More than 1,200 spectators attended what was billed as an "interesting sport battle between the athletes".
Qualifying placez were also available for the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding-organised continental event.
The South American Championships are due to take place from August 30 until September 3.
More than 700 athletes from 12 countries are due to participate.
Paraguay will be hoping to improve upon 15 medals won at the 2015 edition.
