Krystof Bogar won Czech gold in Hungary ©IOF

The Czech Republic added another gold medal on day two of the European Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships in Budapest.

The country won both long distance titles in the Hungarian capital yesterday and collected the men's middle distance crown today.

It came courtesy of Krystof Bogar who won in a time of 59min 06sec.

He was the only athlete to break the hour mark as Ruslan Gritsan of Russia clinched silver in 1:01:44.

Bronze went to Baptiste Fuchs of France in 1:02:41.

The event is doubling as the the first leg of the World Cup season.

In the women's middle distance race, gold went to Russia.

Olga Shipilova Vinogradova brought home the first non-Czech gold by a big margin, winning in 58:56.

Clare Dallimore of Britain won silver in 1:00:25 and bronze went to another Russian, Svetlana Poverina, in 1:01:03.
