The International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) have celebrated their IFBB Physique America competitions, which saw events held in three cities across the United States.

The first competition was the IFBB Physique America Charity Classic at the Cavanaugh Military Museum in Dallas, which managed to attract 41 competitors despite being organised just nine weeks beforehand.

The winners of this competition will compete at the IFBB Physique America competition in Montreal in Canada, this July.

The Dallas competition was followed by the IFBB Physique America Florida Classic at the Crest Theater in Del Ray Beach, which saw 66 athletes take part, before the final show, the IFBB Physique America Northeast Championship in Rochester.

IFBB Physique America President Wayne DeMilia congratulated the athletes who took part in the three events.

“We thank all the athletes who participated in our initial events,” he said.

“Overall winners of the men’s bodybuilding, men’s classic bodybuilding, men’s physique, women’s figure, women’s wellness and women’s bikini open categories will either go to Brazil, all expenses paid in April, to represent the United States in Arnold Classic South America or obtain pro status and receive an all-expense paid trip to Montreal in July to compete in the Montreal Pro.

"This is the first step in giving to the athletes and fulfilling the promise that so many people doubted we would do."
