Prague will host the group ballot for the 2018 Men's World Floorball Championships on March 1, following the completion of the qualification tournaments.

The ballot will be held at the Brožík Assembly Hall, as well as being streamed on the International Floorball Federation's Youtube and Facebook pages.

A total of 15 teams have qualified for the Championships in December, with the nations joining hosts Czech Republic.

Teams will be drawn into four groups.

Defending champions Finland have been placed into pot one, where they will be joined by 2016 silver and bronze medallists Sweden and Switzerland.

The Czech Republic, who lost the bronze medal match two years ago, complete the pot.

Denmark, Norway, Latvia and Germany feature in pot two, while Estonia, Slovakia, Canada and Australia are in pot three.

Pot four includes the lowest ranked teams, with Poland joined by three Asian qualifiers in Japan, Singapore and Thailand.

Two teams from pot one and two will be drawn into Group A, with the same occurring for Group B.

Group C and D will consist of two teams from pot three and four respectively.

The two best teams from Group A and B will progress directly to the quarter-finals, while the third and fourth place nations will drop into a play-off round.

They will take on the teams placed first and second in Group C and D.

Classification matches will also take place.

IFF President Tomas Eriksson will be joined by Government officials and representatives from Czech, Swiss, Finnish and Swedish floorball for the draw.

They will be joined by Tero Tiitu, who scored the match-winning overtime goal in the 2008 final in Prague, when Finland won against Sweden.

It will be the 12th edition of the tournament, which has been dominated by Finland and Sweden.

Finland clinched their third title in 2016 when they beat Sweden on penalties in the final, but their rivals remain the most successful nation at the tournament having earned eight titles.

Prague is set to stage the event for the third time, with competition taking place from December 1 to 9.
