Finland’s Matti Suur-Hamari avenged his defeat to American Mike Shea as he won another thrilling SB-LL2 event at the World Para Snowboard World Cup in Landgraaf.

The reigning world champion was beaten on a tie-breaker by Shea yesterday but managed to overcome his American rival today with a best run of 40.33sec.

Shea was forced to settle for the silver medal on this occasion as he finished second, 0.15 adrift.

Gurimu Narita of Japan claimed his second bronze of the event in the Dutch resort.

Lisa Bunschoten of The Netherlands completed a clean sweep of the women’s SB-LL2 banked slalom gold medals on offer as she picked up her second victory.

The double World Championships silver medallist finished clear of the rest of the field in 46.04.

Australia's Joany Badenhorst was again second, while Renske van Beek of The Netherlands rounded off an exact replica of the podium from the previous day's event.

Brenna Huckaby of the United States also sealed her second win in Landgraaf as she topped the standings in the women's SB-LL1 with a best time of 44.88.

France's Cecile Hernandez-Cervellon and Canada's Michelle Salt claimed silver and bronze respectively, just as they had yesterday.

There was further success for the American team as Mike Schultz caused an upset with victory in the men’s SB-LL1 category.

Schultz's third and final run of 42.61 was enough to beat reigning world champion Chris Vos, who was denied a second triumph on home soil.

Vos took silver and Schultz's compatriot Noah Elliot clinched bronze.
