Scotland have maintained their lead at the top of the European Bowls Team Championships standings after the third day of action in Jersey.

The Scots are in front at the Les Creux Bowls Club on the Channel Island by three points.

They sit on a total of 40 after winning 103 ends and boasting a shots difference of 115 after 12 matches.

Guernsey occupy second place, three points behind on 37.

They have won 97 ends and have a significantly lower shots difference than the closest rivals of 79.

Reigning champions England find themselves in third.

They trailed Scotland by three points overnight but have snow slipped to five behind.

England do boast the best shots difference in the whole tournament though with 126.

They have also won 107 ends in their 12 matches so far.

Ireland are level with England on 35 points but boast significantly lower shots difference and ends won than their rivals with 66 and 85.5 respectively.
