Eurosport have released a promotional film to celebrate the one year to the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics.

The Games will be the Pan-European television sports networks first as the continent's Olympic broadcaster.

This followed their parent company Discovery signing a contract with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) last June.

The promotional film is claimed to capture the essence of the athlete’s preparation in the lead up to Pyeongchang 2018.

It carries the message that there is now no turning back as their Olympic journey gathers momentum.

The 30 second film will be aired across Eurosport platforms until February 25, which marks one-year until the Closing Ceremony of next year’s Games.

Eurosport state they are the go-to destination for winter sports fans, highlighting by showing 800 hours of coverage during the 2017 season.

The advert also comes a week on from Discover Communications signing seven partnerships with broadcasters for the Pyeongchang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Telewizja Polska, a leading national broadcaster in Poland, as well as with Eesti Meedia in Estonia, Georgian Public Broadcasting in Georgia, RÚV in Iceland and Latvijas Televīzija in Latvia were among those to sign.

A deal was also agreed with Lietuvos Olimpinis Fondas, managed by the National Olympic Committee of Lithuania, as well as Czech Radio in the Czech Republic.

Discovery has signed 18 sub-licence deals with broadcasters across the continent since signing the deal with the IOC, in countries including Austria, Croatia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Great Britain.

The network is also currently broadcasting the Alpine Ski World Championships, which are taking place in St Moritz, Switzerland.
