Athletes from Azerbaijan, Turkey and two from Russia all claimed gold medals in various freestyle weight categories on the final day of action at the Junior World Wrestling Championships in Mâcon, France.

In the first final of the day, in the men's 55kg category, Afgan Khashalov of Azerbaijan was victorious after he convincingly beat Khasankhusein Badrudinov of Russia 12-5.

The champion looked comfortable all day, breezing into the medal match with a 11-1 win over Takumi Tashiro of Japan. 

There were also bronze medals won in the 55kg category by American Daton Duain Fix and Gulomjon Abdullaev of Uzbekistan.

After both gained passage to the bronze medal matches through the repechage rounds they beat Andriy Yatsenko of Ukraine and Japan's Takumi Tashiro 10-3 and 10-8 respectively.

In the next weight category, Enes Vahit Uslu of Turkey defeated Akhmed Usmanov of Russia 7-6 in a close final in the men's 66kg category.

Usmanov lead 4-0 at one stage, however a superb comeback by Uslu propelled him to victory.

Yuhi Fujinami of Japan won one of the bronze medals available in the same category.

Fujinami defeated Vikas Vikas of India by a fall, giving the score of 8-0. 

The other bronze was claimed by Orkhan Abasov of Azerbaijan after he successfully defeated Valentin Marc Stéphane Sanfratello of France 8-4.

In the third of the four weight divisions competing today Russia's Arsen-Ali Musalaliev was victorious over Osman Gocen of Turkey in the gold medal match in the men's 84kg category.

Musalaliev prevailed by a fall and a scoreline of 13-2.

Gadzhimurad Magomedsaidov of Azerbaijan brushed aside Poland's Krzysztof Grzegorz Sadowik 5-0 to secure one bronze medal whilst the other was claimed by Dzianis Khramiankou of Belarus after he beat Uzbekistan's Majid Muratov 6-2.

In the final weight category of today's action Kazbek Khubulov of Russia defeated Umar Israilov of Azerbaijan by a fall and a score of 13-10 in the 120kg final.

The bronze medals in this division were both comfortably won by Amir Reza Mohammad Jafar Amiri of Iran and Turkey's Huseyin Mehment Civelek.

Amiri defeated Poland's Kamil Tomasz Kosciolek 7-2 whilst Civelek beat Hungarian Mihaly Nagy 4-0.
