Belgium's Kenny de Ketele and Moreno de Pauw topped the men's standings at the Six Day Series final at the Palma Arena in Mallorca this evening.

De Ketele and de Pauw claimed a total of 99 points in Mallorca to finish top of the standings and claim the overall gold medal.

Much to the delight of the crowd Spaniards Albert Torres & Sebastian Mora Vedri, who were wildcards for this event, finished in second place on 95 points.

The Dutch duo of Yoeri Havik and Wim Stroetinga completed the top three on 82 points.

De Ketele and de Pauw arrived in Mallorca having finished top of the standings from the previous four competitions in London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Copenhagen. 

They maintained that form this evening as they won the decisive 60 minute madison final to clinch victory.

Earlier in the evening, Torres and Mora Vedri won the opening 20 minute madison while Tristan Marguet and Claudio Imhoff of Switzerland won the 15 kilometres points race.

Havik and Stroetinga won the men's elimination race but failed to cut the deficit to the winning pair.

In the women's competition Great Britain's Olympic champion Elinor Barker was victorious after winning the women's omnium event.

Katie Archibald finished in second place while Amalie Dideriksen of Denmark completed the top three.

Germany's Tatjana Paller won the opening race of the women's action this evening in Mallorca.

The 21-year-old was imperious in the women's 10km scratch race before Archibald, who led the standings before today's event, took the victory in the women's elimination race.

Denmark's Dideriksen completed the women's action with victory 10km points race.
