Lasse Norman Hansen and Michael Mørkøv kept hold of the lead on the penultimate day of action at the Six Day Series of Copenhagen at the Ballerup Super Arena.

The Danes, who regained top spot on home soil yesterday, have 269 points following day five in front of former Belgian leaders Kenny de Ketele and Moreno de Pauw of Belgium who boast 169.

The Dutch team of Yoeri Havik and Wim Stroetinga are third on 143.

De Ketele and De Pauw won one of the opening sprint races of the evening with the Danish leaders fourth, before Hansen and Mørkøv experienced elimination race success.

Casper Folsach and Frederik Rodenberg of Denmark then won in the flying lap in front of their compatriots, who still picked up vital points.

The event will conclude tomorrow.
