Alphonso Bridgewater has been re-elected as President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of the Eastern Caribbean States (ANOCES) Executive Committee.

Bridgewater, the President of the St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC), was re-confirmed in the role after an election at the ANOCES general assembly in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.

He will serve a four-year term and was selected alongside Ephraim Penn of the British Virgin Islands, who will serve as vice president.

Keith Joseph from St Vincent and the Grenadines will be general secretary while Glenville Jeffers, also of SKNOC, will be treasurer.

Antigua and Barbuda's Cliff Williams will serve as a committee member.

Three Commissions were also set-up to look after marketing and finance, the Olympic academy and anti-doping and technical matters within ANOCES.

“It is indeed an honour to have been re-elected as President within the Executive Committee, and we are ready to get to work and follow through on the major commitments made at the assembly," said Bridgewater.

"Members agreed unanimously on introducing the additional sports of swimming, cycling, netball, boxing and basketball under the ANOCES banner which is a major step forward.

"Importantly, initiatives to support and strengthen athlete-focused programmes will include the development of an ANOCES sports academy and more focus on branding, marketing and sponsorship of ANOCES activities."
