The 26-year-old scored a total of 258.9 points, with jumps of 132 metres and 128m, to finish four points ahead of Japan's Noriaki Kasai and a further 3.4 points clear of Poland's Kamil Stoch and Slovenia's Peter Prevc, who shared third place.

Consecutive wins in the Norwegian capital have come on the back of victories in Kuopio, Finland and Trondheim, Norway for the large hill world champion, who is now 94 points clear of Prevc in the overall standings.

Despite his superb form, Freund says he is "definitely not unbeatable" citing his second place finish to Austria's Stefan Kraft in Lahti earlier this month as evidence of that.

"Here I was jumping well, but everything else worked out perfectly as well," he said.

"You have to fight hard for every win."

The World Cup season is due to conclude next weekend in Planica, Slovenia, with one team and two individual competitions.

Prevc, who produced the longest jump of the day with 134.5m, still has a chance of winning the overall title, along with third-placed Kraft, who is 175 points behind Freund.

Kasai's second-place finish earned him his sixth podium of the season, and first since February 14 in Vikersund, Norway, where he took the bronze medal.

"I was very happy, because I haven't been on the podium for a while," said the two-time Olympic silver medallist.

"Actually I wanted to win, but in my good shape right now this might be possible in Planica."
